The layout of the site was superb, the main complex was full of entertainment options. The lake and watersports centre (to the left) mean you don’t have to leave the complex to bathe in natural waters. The communal barbecue setup is also a niche little touche, allowing people (men mainly) to stand round cooking loads of meat, drinking beer, chatting (heaven basically)

App suggests €7 to MAKE the bed not to actually hire the whole bedding. This reads as if bedding is already there and someone will make it up for you. This was very misleading. I asked on arrival but was then advised I needed to hire 5 lots of bedding at a total of 100€! Got it all from the supermarket for €20! For a 5 star resort, bedding should be included!

Lots of activities onsite. Waterpark is excellent, well maintained and lifeguards very attentive. Lots of staff on hand at all times and all very helpful. App was very useful for notifications and list of activities. Fabulous setting. Lovely cycle paths to nearby towns, especially enjoyed the cycle to sanguniet. Great options for food onsite and supermarket is well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay. Direct access to beautiful lake setting and lots of options for water activities. Children loved this area and depth of lake meant it was ideal for them to have some fun.

Toilet area near swimming pool could be bigger for volume using them, floors got dirty very quickly though appreciate area is difficult to maintain with heavy usage. Staff were often on hand to clean the floors. Evening entertainment was mixed.

We really enjoyed the campsite, had lots to do and so much to see. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The only thing I would say is the tennis courts, the floor has a few cracks and bumps, looks like it needs to be renewed. Also sticking to the tennis situation, I also feel like the hiring part for the tennis needs to be next to the courts as people abuse the time given to them.

It was our first time doing this type of holiday and I was a little dubious but I’m pleased to report we had a wonderful week. We have 2 boys (11 & 9) and they were able to be independent- it’s very safe and contained. So much to do (or not, your choice) and we spent time at the pool, the lake, playing ping pong and pétanque. And every evening we wandered into the main area for an ice cream and a browse. We chose to head out a couple of days - did some cycling and visited Biscarosse plage - but you wouldn’t have to. Everything you need is on site. We’ll be back!

A few more things in the lodge. Definitely needed tea towels! The evening entertainment was in French (as you’d expect) so be warned if it isn’t your first language

Stop the reservation of Sun loungers by the pool. Clearly people lay out towels and leave the pool area. This was an issue when you wanted to visit later in the day.

Oven/airfryer in premium mobile (rather than microwave...a little dated) Toilets badly needed inside in waterpark area & beach area also. Potentially contributing to intermittent pool closing haven't experienced as much pool disruption in other campsites. Perhaps a little more emphasis/inclusion of English in entertainment/activities as a good proportion of English speaking families/children. Campsite not as suitable for exploration for those without access to car as no bus or shuttle services available. Slightly remote.

The water park and facilities are good. Entertainment was ok, the foam party was great.

Water park needs more staff, it was too busy, there are more caravans this year and not enough staff. No Ibiza party on the entertainment. Last year the entertainment was better, there were also stalls with candy floss and more going on. The sweet shop was not open this year.

A nice campsite, but the facilities are too limited for the number of guests on site. Crowded pools and sunbathing areas, lengthy queues for the evening entertainment detract from the positives.

The while resort and accommodation were very clean, great amenities and loads for the children to do.

Better choice of food onsite. Very limited food options meant the kids were bored with the food. It would also be great to have a small coffee store serving fresh pastries. Maybe down beside the lake.

We had a great 10 nights at la Rive. Accommodation was excellent. We stayed in one of the new wooden cabins and it was super. On the edge of the site so we were surrounded by forest. Campsite facilities were excellent, pool etc.

One criticism would be kids club and kids entertainment was lacking. It seemed to be a one man show but maybe we were there just before peek summer.

Great Campsite. Accommodation was in super condition. Very clean and well maintained public areas. Lake is a great feature. Pools are really good with great slides.

Wifi worked, but it could be better, could be a bit glitchy at times. We were there in June and the kids club could have been better.

Excellent vacation. Kids had a ball. Lots to do when the sun is shining. Hiring a car was definitely a most for us as we visited Biscarrosse for dinner 1/2 nights and done some off site activities on days the weather wasn’t good.

We had a wonderful stay at La Rive. The resort is really clean and well set up for families. There's lots to do on the park and in the surrounding area. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

The chalet was beautiful and prestine. Pools were great. Bike and scooter are a must, it's a big site, gives the kids great freedom and very safe. Staff are brilliant, even when they were off duty they still took the time to play soccer and sit playing cards with the kids. Really appreciated that. The staff at reception are very helpful. The fatboy beanbags at the pool are a great idea and at no extra cost.

The crazy golf could do with a jazz up.

Excellent accommodation, swimming pool and children's activities. Wonderful lake. Compact site - quick to walk to all amenities. Very friendly and bilingual staff. Would definitely recommend to others.

Changing rooms and showers could be closer to swimming pool. Somewhere to leave holiday leftovers for other guests ie leftover food, toiletries etc would help to reduce waste. Gates/doors on baby room and soft play area would be helpful to stop children running away.

The Waterpark was very good for kids of all ages but no buggies allowed which was difficult for those with very young kids. The onsite supermarket was very convenient. Very cean and bug free. The beach and views are amazing.

Restaurants and bars options are very limited. The same menu for lunch and dinner. I didn't notice any breakfast options. Entertainment was average. No ironing facilities offered unless you hire them, no towels unless you hire them. At least a dish cloth should have been left to dry dishes. My family were hushed by security several times during our stay, in some cases maybe we laughed a bit loud but once we were aware to be quiet we we kept it quite low but still security hushed us, in some cases this was at 11-11 30pm. The bar was closed so what else to do for adults.

Cabins were excellent quality. We stayed in a 3 bed Ciela Prestige which was excellent. Plenty to do locally outside the campsite. Cycle trails were really good.

Restaurant was only ok and could be improved. Also no events planned for Mondays and Tuesdays in June when it appeared there was plenty of vacationers who would have enjoyed them.

Mobile home was of very good standard and had everything we needed. Pool complex and facilities were very good. Great campsite,maintained to a very high standard. Very family friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The football pitch is too small and is not sufficient for the number of guests on site. Another football pitch is badly needed. It did not help that often when our kids went to play football in the evenings that staff from the campsite were using the football pitch and were not prepared to leave to let the guests use the pitch. Another separate football pitch for the staff is needed. The showers just outside the pool complex were boiling hot, very dangerous and kids could not use these showers. The toilets outside the pool complex need to have a separate male and female side

The park surroundings very clean, lots and lots of activities for the kids to be entertained. Swimming pool is amazing. Play ground big and safe with one entrance and exit with lock so kids can’t get out easily (good safety reason) good size arcade.

During the early holiday times like ours in May (May half terms etc) the arena should have bit more dance crazy sessions. Our kids loved our last day when the entertainment was on for the hour and half, so all kids and parents enjoyed dancing around. Only need a DJ or playlist to get people dancing. Ice cream booth to open bit earlier than 3.

The site was lovely and clean, loads of things for the kids to do on site and in the local area. The pool area and the playground were great. Small touches like the bouncy castles and soft play were brilliant. We will definitely be back.

Some comfortable seating for parents in the soft play and bouncy castle areas would be great and more seating near the playground.

We couldn’t see anywhere to book a clean for our exit when we booked online. A food/toy exchange would be a lovely addition where items could be left/collected at the end of your stay.

Events/ Animations were sub standard (even for low season) some events were moved or cancelled without notification (kids disco). Bar prices are silly now, €2 increase in a beer in 1 year. ÀThe site really needs to be stricter with the swim nappy rule. Lots of poo incidents through the week.
