Was given a lovely sunny pitch with private sanitaire which was perfectly clean. The swimming pool area was spotless and very well kept. Bike hire was a bonus and easy process and most of all the staff was fantastic friendly and very helpful- thank you Mel and your team, fantastic stay will see you again soon.

A clean sanitation block which was cleaned twice a day. A very nice restaurant with a good choice of food and excellent service. A clean swimming pool with a very good instructor for aqua gym.
The use of a large mat outside the entrance to sanitary block would help to keep mud and leaves from being walked inside

Lovely Campsite, good showers, clean facilities, fabulous pool and a great location for cycling around the island. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
The noise from nearby, not our campsite, somewhere not too far away (possibly another campsite) on the Thursday evening was awful. Sounded like a musical festival. So loud. Went on until 22:20 hrs

Lovely clean toilet facilities. Reception staff were very polite and welcoming.
Very much a site for young families and many children with bikes. Corner pitches not great to park your car as mine was scratched by a young child on a bike. Luckily I was on site and the parent was apologetic. Insurance job when home.

We were in our caravan & the pitches are a great size. All the staff we met were brilliant & very friendly. The facilities were first class & kept clean most of the time.
The only thing that could improve, you have your own water tap/supply at the pitch.

In general we loved the campsite and staff. Very clean.
We had noisy adolescence from a home directly opposite us in two accommodations and their carers in another for the whole stay, except for the last day. The children/adults were very unruly, constantly noisy, slamming doors, shouting and the carers appeared to take little notice. One of the individuals had a Bluetooth speaker, playing tuneless music loudly! In the evenings the carers would watch the entertainment leaving the individuals to create a disruption on the site. This issue was stressful & spoiled the stay, I feel that we should not of been pitched near this group. Stressful!

My wife and I have a long annual stay on the site with our caravan and find it improves every year. We have met our grandchildren at La Rochelle airport but they also love the site and the island they still want to join us but need the wonderful air conditioned cabins now they are young adults. It means we have a wonderful annual family holiday with cleanliness a priority on the site.

Nice and spacious pitches, lovely swimming pool, good facilities that were maintained well and very clean. The family bathroom with children’s toilet was lovely as well. We felt very relaxed and easy. Bike rental was also a great bonus, it went very smoothly and we loved our cycling around the island.
Nothing this campsite can do, but the surrounding campsites were playing really loud music until 4am one night, and until past 12am some other nights which was really loud.

Friendly site and staff. Used the bar for evening drinks as well as ordering baguettes for the morning Good for cycling, although a new cycle track being laid just down the road, will be even better. Entertainment on site and pool aerobics.

I liked that the site eas exceptionally clean and tidy. Great swimming pool and bar area. Central for all.cycle routes .Staff very friendly and helpful. Quite peaceful stay. Booked for 4 nights but extended our stay. Would definitely come again and would recommend to anyone going that way.

The only improvement for me is, well as im English i find it strange to take the toilet paper in to the toilet before hand.

Really good campsite with excellent facilities including lovely pool and restaurant. Very clean and modern shower block .Super staff especially the enchanting Melusine who provides an excellent and charming service. I'm sure this must be the best campsite on the island they even give you a welcome gift on arrival.

Toilet facilities were lovely and clean but the closure for cleaning twice a day were not at the most convenient times, and the whole of the main block was unavailable for at least 3 hours a day and on the day that we left were closed from 6.30 to 8.20 in the morning.

We were in our own caravan and pitch was big enough to accommodate caravan, porch awning and canopy on other side of van.
Electricity for our block was tripped by the adjoining motorhomers after reception had closed. Fortunately one of the restaurant staff was very helpful but had they not been there was no contact information to enable you to get help out of hours.

Notwithstanding the unseasonably wet weather we again enjoyed the first three weeks of our stay at Le Domaine d'Oleron. We were given a warm welcome by Melusine, Ben, Wayne and the other staff. Nothing is too much trouble. We witnessed examples of this both in relation to our own requirements and those of others. The persistant wet weather caused problems for a number of us and Ben, in particular, was unstinting in his efforts to resolve and alleviate their effects. His work around the site over the last year landscaping with flowers, plants and other improvements has enhanced the site.

Level, good sized pitch on an attractive on and well maitained site. Fresh water taps and grey waterpoints disposal points are numerous. Quality showers and toilet facilities are relatively close by. A second closer but smaller block was opened later in our stay.
It seems like each year there are a few more camping pitches being lost through being used for static/chalet accomodation.

Lovely site with good facilities. We enjoyed a couple of meals at the bar. The staff were all charming.
It would have been helpful to have more warning that reception was closed for arrivals until 14.45.

Excellent sanitary facilities, possibly the best we’ve seen, super clean. Level pitches, friendly staff, “fresh” bread and croissants available (baking finished off onsite). Pool area looked good but didn’t use.

Site was mostly quiet and when we visited mostly older folk, but despite this the entertainment team persisted with blaring out “music” late into the evenings (possibly just weekends) with barely anyone there. Also meant it was impossible to enjoy a drink at the bar in the evenings. Maybe that should be limited to high season only?

Mel and the team were extremely helpful and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. Amenity block was one of the best we have experienced. The site was beautiful in a lovely area with friendly staff
The location of the mobile home was dark and due to storm weather acorns falling over night were very loud and prevented us sleeping - I felt like we were staying in staff quarters and there were plenty of other lovely areas that we could have stayed The bar was very disappointing with such limited service and when it was open, extortionate pricing and average food No entertainment available for the entire week and no large screen tv to watch the World Cup. Just a tiny Tv If you are going to keep your park open then at least have the full amenities available

My only negative comment is the timings for cleaning the toilet/shower area as 4 pm - 5.30 pm to me seems a popular time I would have thought earlier in the day say 2 pm would be better

All of our dealings with Chadotel have been brilliant, both booking & amending our stay. The pitch was one of the ones we requested. The shower/toilet block was always spotless. The pool area was always clean & tidy. Even the Croissants were amazing. Really friendly staff. We loved the area, pretty villages & great beaches. We’ll definitely be back!

I loved the aqua gym and the ladies running it were super nice and friendly and interested in meeting people. The entertainment was great. The free buses. The pool. The staff were helpful. The bikes to rent. The camp had a happy feel to it.
No warm showers near the pool. Lack of loo roll inside the loos and on occasion at all in the block. Lack of gluten free and dairy free options on the menu except for one salad and sorbet. Not filling. My daughter tried the kids club once and refused to go stay as she was the only English speaking person. One day the only loo by the pool had a urine mess over the floor that was stinky. Unfortunate but would have been nice if that had been cleaned prior to the pool opening for aquafit. Lack of loo seats takes a bit of getting used to.

We loved our stay on Ile d'Oleron the site is in a great location to explore the island. The site itself is really good, the accommodation was clean and in great condition. The facilities on site were excellent, the new shower block with the family shower room is great, it was really good to have somewhere to give the baby a bath. The swimming pool is excellent, my 3 year old absolutely loved the water slide and the splash pool and it was good to have a shallow pool for my 7 month old to sit in too. The onsite restaurant has a limited menu but the food is nice, and service was good.
The times that the restaurant serves food are not very well advertised and we went early one evening not realising that the kitchen wasn't open yet. Also there was one occasion when we went to use the shower block to use the baby bath and the cleaning was being done outside the stated times so that was a little bit frustrating, but overall we had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend the site.

Very clean and in excellent condition. Outside area really spacious for enjoying our evening meal.
Cooking facilities were very limited, it would have been useful to have an oven.

Excellent site, friendly staff. We got a lovely welcome from Melusine the manager. Nothing is too much trouble for her.
The bar/restaraunt is the weak point. Limited menu and drink prices seemed very expensive

Well kept and perfect for our needs. Main shower and toilet block is excellent and as a consequence the second, smaller block whilst perfectly adequate, is overshadowed.
Two nights of disturbed sleep when a Film Crew, who were working in the area and staying in Chalet accomodation partied into the early hours........ and beyond!!!!

Great reception staff , and ground staff. Extremely helpful. Beautiful new shower block. Very nice pool.
The pitch was waterlogged during rain. The bar menu was limited and very expensive. People walking dogs were allowed to walk and wee on other pitches. This needs to be stopped as it was not pleasant. . There was some noise after 11 on some occasions. After 12 one night. Unsupervised young people in the pool breaking the rules.

pitch was a little small but we managed to squeeze in. electricity tripped after heavy rain as water had entered the connection between the two types of plugs. Perhaps an upgrade of the electric points to EEstandard sockets

We love this site. It has many trees and shrubs which have many birds and insects. It is very clean and well- maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is a good size and cared for. We appreciate easy access to the bicycle lanes and the beach. The site location is good for shopping and visiting places of interest.

This photo does not look like our accommodation. It was a more wooden cabin and a bit tired and dated. However, it had the basics that we needed.
Despite the hedge, could hear the customers on the other side.

Nice campsite in a good location. Staff very friendly & helpful offering advice. English speaking. Great area for cycling. Good restaurants around. On-site bar ok. Shop very limited. Bread order for the morning. Sowers clean.
No toilet paper in the toilets, only communal. Not convenient. No soap or paper towels. No toilet seat.

Nice location. Very clean and well maintained. Very helpful staff when we had an initial issue with our pitch and water supply.
The smell from the fields. Farmer had just spread manure. I know it is nothing to do with the site but you couldn’t escape it.
