C'est vraiment super de trouver encore des campings qui ne ferment pas mi septembre. On peut encore profiter du climat. Surtout qu'il a fait très beau cette quinzaine.
Un peu plus d'assiduité pour le nettoyage des sanitaires serait un plus. Mais faut avouer que peu après le nettoyage par le responsable, c'était à nouveau sali. certains campeurs ont vraiment de la peine a respecter le minimum de propreté et de respect tel que juste tirer la chasse d'eau après avoir fait leurs besoins.

Le calme dans ce camping est apréciable. L'accueil des plus agréable par une personne très sympathique. L'emplacement pour notre caravane etait très grand et propre. Responsables du camping très actifs pour rendre le séjour agréable. J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir, et toujours hors "saison"

Campsite is a great location. Walking distance to the village and the beach. Some facilities were not available or had limited availability such as bar , food and swimming pool
We were working remotely but the WiFi was unusable, we ended up having to get a refund. So.e services were not available

Regarding services, from September onwards, the dining bar is only open on weekends, and the swimming pool operates on request between 10:00 and 19:00 in order to limit our energy consumption. Great little site with all the necessary amenities. Very helpful staff who were attentive and diligent in their work. The toilets and showers were cleaned 3 times a day at the same time every day. We booked a large pitch and it was larger than on most sites that you would find in the UK. The town was small but bustling and had a varied selection of shops and restaurants which served excellent food and wine. Using bikes we explored the area which is completely flat and bike friendly. All the nearby towns are picturesque with lovely markets, shops and restaurants. St Martin was our favourite.

Great location for North of the island. Very close to beautiful beach and fabulous restaurants.
The pitches are in need of attention. We had a dangerous, unsecured drainage grid at the entrance. The ground was sand/dirt which turned into mud very quickly.

Some trees for shade in the very hot weather. Clearly marked pitches and all different. We were close to the beach gate and the smaller shower/toilet block with plenty of hot water and dish washing spaces. It was very peaceful and was a great base for exploring the Island.
The camping car facilities for filling up with water and offloading waste water was a bit tricky to manoeuvre around as you had to reverse back out close to other pitches. Lots of little children to watch out for while doing this. The clean water hose pipe for filling up was a little close to the toilet waste and was often pulled right out and left on the ground to get covered in sand. The toilet block by the lovely swimming pool needs updating as only one toilet working.

At the moment, we do not offer lunch, but we are always listening to the needs of our guests. The toilets located near the swimming pool have a single WC, which is for the use of swimmers. It was really peaceful when we were there (end June) but appreciate that was outside school holidays. Amenities all clean and well laid out. Good shade which was great as it was very hot! Staff were super helpful and friendly, liked being able to order fresh pastries and bread for the morning

Reception was welcoming, pool was small but never crowded. The snack bar drinks were very limited and a shame they didn’t sell wine by the glass. Toilets and showers were good, never had to queue.

Lovely site near to the beach and lovely town. Reasonable size plots with shade and a lovely pool.
The website said arrive from 2 pm. The reception did not open until 3.10 pm. There were three groups of us waiting. No explanation given just the receptionist altering the time from 2 - 3 on the information sheet provided. The other issue was the bins which are by the entrance. Over flowing and a very strong bad smell. We were there three days and the bins just got more full and more smelly.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the bins. The premises are maintained on a daily basis and the bins are emptied very regularly. However, on busy days, they can fill up more quickly. Your feedback helps us to keep a close eye on these points. The pitches are large and surrounded by vegetation giving lots of natural shade. The toilets and showers are always perfectly clean. The staff are super friendly and eager to make the stay enjoyable. Close to beach and lovely little town. Access to great cycle paths

Dogs are allowed on the beaches of Les Portes-en-Ré from 8pm to 10am, so you can enjoy the natural surroundings in complete peace and quiet. For gourmet pleasures, our dining bar, open at weekends, offers a tasty choice of pizzas, burgers, salads and hot dishes, complementing the village's delicious restaurants where you can sample local specialities. Friendly and helpful receptionist, good sized pitches, clean facilities. Nice location, close to beaches and marshes for birdwatching. Great cycle routes, although we didn't use them because of bad weather. The village was lovely too.
The press button showers didn't last long, but they were warm so it's a small complaint.

To have only one drinking water tap for all the pitches was terrible. Also, access to the only one motorhome service point was very difficult, particularly with a large unit. The swimming pool sunbeds were packed away during our stay leaving only 5 beds available for use. This was not enough on the days we went in the afternoons

Not very much to like about this place except that it was quiet.
The whole site needs to be tidied up - the whole area was littered with dried leaves and the chalets looked ancient. Unfortunately, the appearance of the site was very disappointing

The pitch was ok but backed by bamboo behind which there was a worksite. This in itself didn't cause us any problems but the pitch just looked tired and messy. It was a short walk to a couple of restaurants and the little village that had bit more to offer in the way of a few shops and restaurants was just bit further away on foot. Mostly the area was made up of holiday homes which were already closed up.
How untidy the whole place was and nothing was open - nowhere on site to get a drink, buy any food or any service whatsoever.

We had a very quiet peaceful spot at the end of the island, hence, no traffic at the end of the road! The site was tidy and amenities good. Within easy walking distance of a beautiful beach and ‘centre ville’. Porte en Re has a supermarket with everything you’d need when in a ‘camping car’. We didn’t use any eateries as we were self catering but the restaurants appeared popular. The cycling network is brilliant AND it’s flat! You don’t need to use a car until you leave if you take your own bikes. There are also lots of bike hire centres dotted across the island.
We went mid September, after the peak. The toilets were short of paper when required! And a couple of times the toilets weren’t fully clean.Take your own soap and towels for handwashing. Not really any downside otherwise.

proximity to beach 5 min easy bike ride. late arrivals have pitch map & keycode in envelope,stuck on reception window so hassle free. peaceful with clean facilities. Yes, bit of view of mens backs at urinals,so look sideways for 2/3 steps. Pleased to find pool still heated in Sept so thankyou.
Remove/clear vegetation totally obscuring your entrance sign.( Are we there.??..is this it..??.) Arriving late, the signage from road was small &we missed the little finger post. Could be bigger and brighter....its a pain turning round when you miss it. Dont expect pool to be as big as it looks in that v flattering photo! .However clean,warm with good childrens bit so thumbs up.

This campsite is in a fantastic location - minutes walk from several stunning beaches, next to a nature reserve & a short walk from the nearest small town with daily market in high season. The pool is small but a good depth & clean. Reception staff were very friendly & helpful.
Wash blocks desperately need cleaning!!! Whilst we were there there was only one check per 24 hrs - not remotely enough for a crazy busy site where wash blocks are being used 24/7. Hair & mud everywhere, no loo roll for 12 hours. The showers themselves were pathetically weak - fixed to the wall so impossible to wash soap off & definitely no chance to wash hair. Water burst out in weak splutters not even a continuous flow. Pitches small & odd shaped. Building work going on outside site & one nite kept up all night by some kind of drunken rave nearby.

The campsite is bigger than you think with easy walk to the beach and local town, bike hire is also available. The toilet facilities are also very good. We can recommend this site

The pitch surface was weed and dirt. Grass would be nice. It was not obvious when facilities had been cleaned. Only half of main block open despite site being pretty full. Only one cassette emptying point at bottom of site. Code entry for one block but not the other- so why bother with the former. Staff did not tell us nearest way to beach - at the bottom of the site. Again this was an open gateway. No menus posted for snack bar so few people used it.

It was all so easy! And the campsite is great. Wonderful pool, great safari tent and lovely staff. I really recommend Seasonova at Porte en Ré especially for kids
I wish there had been toilet facilities in our tent but next time I’ll book a cabin. It would have been good to have more deck chairs as there were three of us and only two chairs.

It was lovely and clean and all set up for instant camping. I loved the sound of the rain on the roof.
Need more chairs and need comfier chairs especially if staying for a few days. Would have loved a loo too.

Il De Ré is lovely and this little site was quiet and had good access to the rest of the Island. Reception staff were lovely and friendly.
My only negative is that after a very long drive, our pitch was still occupied at 2.00 pm and we had to wait for the family to pack up and leave, this took hours. We only had two nights so this was disappointing to not get ourselves set up to enjoy our time. I was told a manager would call me, but this did not happen. The site is otherwise great, but it was a shame the start was not good and I didn’t want to spend our time going back to reception to see if there could be anything done about the first night. We did eventually set up and enjoyed our stay.

Pitch was fine, level, short walk to facilities. Basic but good value and nice to have a small pool to cool off.
The pitch not being available at check in and having to wait while it was cleared. We only had two nights so this was frustrating, especially after a long drive to get there.

Area was great for food, beaches and cycling. Very picturesque. Campsite was rough very basic and pitches dirty. Dog poo on pitch on arrival. We brought two dogs ourselves and spent too much time picking up other people’s dog waste!!

Perfect sized camspsite with good amenities, friendly and helpful staff, nice pool and bar on site. A lovely relaxed alternative to the large and busy impersonal campsites.

Pitch wasn't the best position, no electric hook up although staff aimed to help by providing a French extension lead. Very shady and windy and right by sanitation. Think we were just unlucky with the actual pitch location as other pitches looked really nice.

A lovely campsite with friendly staff and a great location.
The toll fee to get over the bridge into the island is very high (€16.50!). Also it would have been nice to have a campsite shop with basic necessities.

Liked: Friendly staff Francois was very helpful in arranging the local vet to treat our dog for the necessary tapeworm tablets for the trip back to the UK. Vets was €50. Great location near the many cycle paths over the island to the surrounding towns beaches. Lots of cycle hire shops if you don’t carry your own bikes. Brilliant market at Ars Le Re. Selling handcrafted high quality products not the usual Chinese tat, as well as veg and deli produce. Site was quite busy but still quiet enough. Pitches not as large as some but ok for medium sized motorhomes.
One toilet block closed so quite a walk to showers and water point.

Great location to cycle. The nearby village is very pretty. The village has a wonderful market and good places to eat. Love the delivery of baguettes if you ordered them at Reception.
No soap or gel to clean your hands after using the toilet. One section of the bathroom was sealed off so as a female I had to use the toilet opposite the urinals. WiFi very expensive.
