Hot water for washing dishes. water was tepid after 5 minutes of running it didn't get any better hotter.

Stayed here for two weeks in one of the older chalets by the river. Great shady site when the sun was hot, pools were great for all the family. Playground is new and substantial, ping pong tables and bouncy castle were well used. The campsite is about 15min walk into Brantome. We didn’t use the river beach as there was bacteria in the water so not advised at the time of our stay. We would definitely recommend this campsite, the toilet/shower facilities were the best we’ve seen so far on a site in France, including hair dryers. Good campsite layout, felt safe with kids exploring independently.

A bit more communication about kids & evening activities would have been good, it took us a few days to find the posters. Communal composting for veg scraps would be a welcome addition, we have used these on other sites in France.

The pitches were really nice and it felt secluded, whilst being a busy campsite. The location to Brantôme and the river were excellent. We also liked the games that were provided on one of the nights. It was useful to have a freezer and the bar was nice.

The showers and toilets were a bit disorganised and the showers lacked pressure.

This is the 2nd time we stayed and it was as good as last time. We did travel earlier this year so it was quieter but being such close walking distance to the centre of town, it did not make a difference to us. David and team were very helpful talking to the local garage when our car broke down and everyone is very helpful and friendly. Beautiful green surroundings, lovely pools.

Last time we came, the covered pool was for adults only. This time there were lots of children using the pool. We think it would be good to reinstate this as an adult as that is an attractive feature to have the choice. Only other thing that would be great is to have more, and larger parasols, in the pool area. Especially as there was a heatwave this time!

We choose the site because of the large, shady pitches; clean facilities; the pool area, the friendly, helpful staff and the location (next to the river & and easy walk into town). This year was our 3rd stay & we hope to come back again in 2026!

We stayed here 4 nights, Great pitch by the river, Dave on reception was extremely helpful spoke very good English. They have pizza nights we had one on the first night and it was lovely. The town is about 15 to 20 minutes walk lovely little place plenty of restaurants and there is a small supermarket in the centre

We had a very relaxing stay. It was the best designed campsite we have stayed at. The trees and the hedges provided privacy and quiet.

We booked for 2 nights & stopped 3. Pitches are a very good size (ours was a basic one, nominally 100 sq m). Facilities good - toilet blocks clean, pool excellent.

We had a lovely stay and a nice view of the lovely river. We ate once in the bar. Swimming pool was spectacular, especially to have the luxery of an adult only pool.

After a few days the pitches on all sides became occupied and so we were completely trapped as both pitches to our right had cross our pitch to exit so we had nowhere to sit outside of our awning. Bar food was limited and bar lacked use and atmosphere, perhaps because of its location.

Only one very small suggestion, whilst I appreciate wine in a restaurant is usually more expensive doubling the price seems excessive especially when serving for the sport on TV. Otherwise keep doing what your doing!

Fabulous location and a very warm welcome on arrival. Facilities were generally clean & always hot water. Pool area was lovely & modern with plenty of loungers. Our pitch right by the river on the end of the site was like heaven & so serene. The closeness to the town was fabulous & fresh breads & pastries in the morning was a real bonus.

Lovely pitches, we were situated near the beach/river area. Washing facilities excellent. Pool good too. Very nice place to stay to visit the beautiful town of Brantome.

We ungraded (paying more) to a larger pitch with services when booking online. When I tried to use my ACSI card upon arrival, I was told as I had upgraded, I couldn’t use the card for any discount. Only the basic of pitches were qualified for the ACSI discount. I didn’t say anything, but felt a bit cheated that this didn’t appear to be obvious when booking. Did I miss something??

Size of pitch excellent, very thoughtful to ensure our friends had adjoining pitch.

Some confusion about using the pitch, when we arrived we were advised to reverse in due to the pitch being water logged which would enable us to be recovered if we could not drive out. The rumour on the site that this is a chargeable service, needs clarification.

Friendly site. Excellent pool. Particularly liked the adults only pool. We were joined by two of our children and our grandcholdren who stayed in mobile homes on site. They all had a great time and the weather was amazing!

The collapsed drain just in front of our pitch which, to be fair was marked off by the patron. Not enough for older teenagers to do. A couple of our grandchildren, 16 and 17, were often stuck for things to do.

Perfect location for exploring the lovely town of Brantome. Great if you want to buy a cheap inflatable canoe for paddling directly from the site into Brantome and back, great fun.

I felt the manager very abrupt in his manor and not the easiest person to deal with however this wouldn't put me off coming back, we've been to this site five or six times

Comfortable accommodation, helpful reception and the use of the partly covered pool as an adult only facility was inspired! Access to the river was fantastic to cool down as it was really hot when we stayed. Takeaway pizzas were delicious!

Need for extension leads in the bedrooms as only one electric point. No kettle or toaster and only an ice box in the fridge rather than a bigger freezer compartment which would have been preferable. On site shop very limited but nearest supermarket only a few minutes drive away so it’s not much of an issue.

The staff were great and at times fantastic! We loved the site and although we didn't have children of the right age the activities appeared to be well attended and well run with all the children having a great time. We also thought the playground and bouncy castle was great too. Everything was clean and the site was well laid out, the additional swimming pool is a good idea.

We enjoyed the meals we had in the restaurant, but wished that there had been side salads on the menu to go with them. Bread ordering and collection as well as takeaway food was well organised too, we certainly never had a issues.

Beautifully laid out campsite with lots of privacy and space between pitches/homes. Fantastic to have an adult pool in addition to main pool and also a great beach/river area on the site. Lovely, very friendly staff and enjoyed the low key entertainments and activities including yoga. Brantome is a gorgeous town and the walk from the campsite to the centre is along a safe, car free path.

An absolute gem of a site! David and the team are so friendly & helpful. The site is well kept and well maintained. The full service pitches are huge with hedges for privacy. All the amenities are immaculate. Great pools and even a sandy beach. Bramtome is beautiful, with a range of shops, restaurants and fantastic Saturday market just a short walk away.

It was lovely being situated next to the river and all its associated wildlife. Amazing damselflies and also saw a kingfisher.

Cleaning the sanitary facilities first thing in the morning when campers are needing to use them! Not very fair to the cleaners either!
