We had to extend our stay from 4 nights to 7 as our keys got locked in vehicle and we had to courier spare set from the UK! We were stuck with no car for 5 days but the staff were brilliant offering to help me with online shop etc. Even the Eurocamp staff were helpful even though we were not EC customers. Anyway, we could not have been stuck in a nice place!

Premium pitch with private sanitary facilities which were excellent! everything spotlessly clean. Would have been nice to have a small sink in the toilet for hands or maybe even a sanitiser dispenser if a sink wont fit in. We did have a sink in the shower room which was separate from the toilet.

The site is set in the spacious grounds of a lovely chateau with a great swimming complex.
The shop advertised fresh fruit and vegetables but didn't have any and only had limited opening hours as did the bar and snacks bar ( both of the later closed Wednesdays for some reason) there are supermarkets within a ten minute drive but best to stock up a bit before your arrival.

Enough space, nobody too close. On a slope but not a problem. Toilets and showers close by which were well maintained.

We chose the site having been Castel’s customers previously and wanting to discover this part of Normandy. We weren’t disappointed, the site has a superb ‘feel’, is well laid out and meticulously clean and tidy. The indoor pool is excellent, the bar/ games room area very relaxed and the outside terrace welcoming. The pitch is a good size and well laid out.
The new external pool in 2025 will make a difference, the current pool is tiny. When we arrived there was only one member of the team on reception who was then showing people to their pitches so the queue just got bigger and bigger. Would be helpful if the site plan showed the different pitches - I tried to pick a pitch but kept being advised the one I was selecting wasn’t the right kind, with no advice as to which were so gave up.

The site is very relaxing, very well maintained and very clean. Small shop on site but we'll stocked, bread and pastries has to be ordered the night before and is ready for pick up by 0800hrs. Access to the site is excellent even if on are towing a large twin axle like us, make sure if using a way and its up to date as there was a new road off the motorway which made it easier to get to the site. Staff at the site greeted you with a smile and cheerful even after a long day and in my case were very helpful as the car went into limp more so they assisted me in get the breakdown service.

On the pitch we had a shed with table and chairs, fridge and an extra microwave, which is always welcome with big families and there was space left over to put bikes away.
Pitch not completely level and was a little rutty but I manage to level some of the rugs in front of the caravan door, like everywhere they had had a lot of rain so vehicles made the rutts. If you have a big van some of the corners have large plant pots on them but are passable with care.

Clean and spacious and main living areas were was ideal for a wheelchair.
Bathroom needed better adaptions for disabled person: A fixed shower seat is essential otherwise the person could easily fall when transferring on to it. The shower head was not attached to wall. This makes a shower very difficult if you are trying to help a disabled person and have to hold this all the time. Not good or safe.

Unsuitable pitches for wet weather. Better trained staff are needed to deal with appropriate placing of units to sensible pitches able to be used. We were refused the opportunity to upgrade to hard standing.

The whole site was well kept with lots of activities. The location was also ideal for visiting attractions in the area, particularly Mont St Michel.

Large spacious services block with tiny showers. Everything gets soaked, shoes and clothes. There is so much space in the building that is not used it would have been nice to have larger showers with some hooks and a larger seat to get changed on.

The site's own lodge was significantly more modern than the Eurocamp one we stayed in last year - of course this was reflected in the price. We loved having a dishwasher this time and we paid extra for bed linen and towels to be provided on arrival. We were also very happy that the site was flexible with our checkout time as this avoided a mad rush to clean up on the last morning. The infoor pool was perfect for our 5-year-olds as last year, the three bouncy castles too.
On one of the days we pre-ordered 2 x pain au chocolat at the shop, and the next morning they did not have them.

The drainage points on the service pitches are all at the high side so impossible to connect to the caravan. Our pitch was a bit uneven. Bar was good but small for the number of pitches. Luckily we were there at a quiet time.

A bit uneven and patchy. The girl who showed us to it suggested it had been a bit boggy “park so we can pull you out” ! Drainage points were to high to connect to our caravan drain points meaning we still had to use our waste hog and tip it out everyday.

Our pitch overlooked a lovely wild meadow with cows grazing, it was very peaceful in that far corner of the campsite and worth the walk up to the very clean sanataires, the location is very good for cycling with a cycle path to the back of the chateau, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we would like to stay here again if in the area
The black water (toilet) disposal was very inadequate and totally blocked, the cycle path was very rough and could be compressed more for the safety of cyclists, especially children, the bar prices are expensive, €8.50 for a pint , but a very nice bar and terrace

We understand how important it is for our guests to be connected, but Normandy is a region full of surprises and breathtaking scenery, whatever the weather. What's more, our campsite offers a host of activities to help you disconnect from everyday life, including a games room, tennis court, water slides and even bike hire. However, our team did its utmost to quickly replace the terminals that were out of order: they had to be replaced and therefore had to wait a few days to receive them, install them and set them up. Hoping to see you again soon for a cloudless holiday, where you can take full advantage of nature and our proximity to the ocean. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this fairly small site. There are a few improvements that would have made our stay better that will be listed next. We enjoyed our walk to the beach although could not follow the map given, played petanque and enjoyed the site.
Cut back the trees above the mobile homes as a lot of noise is created on the roof when the wind increases. The indoor pool should be open longer and not closed between 12-3pm. Improve signage to local beach Outside pool very small, although heated

Very small kitchen area with no cooker facilities, no grater, butter knife, useless tin opener, another saucepan would have been good. Loud noises at night from trees scratching roof in the wind, loud motorbikes after 10pm. Not really enough facilities in the kitchen for a 7 night self catering stay unless you wished to eat out most times.

Reserved and paid deposit in advance online requesting ACSI discount and sunny pitch. Initially, campsite wanted extra 20 euros for sunny pitch as this was their policy which was later refunded at my request. Also charged the full rate (not ACSI rate) as I could not reserve pitch online in advance and have the discount or a ‘specific pitch’. Not good! Have never experienced this before when booking ACSI sites. Will not return unfortunately.

This was a grass pitch but very soft muddy patches required rubber mats under front wheels to avoid getting ‘bogged down’. Pitch was in shade from late afternoon onwards…not what we wanted!

Lovely location and our accommodation was right next to the assorted animals. A lovely comfortable caravan with an extra large bed and the luxury of a dishwasher.
The bar and food services close completely on a Wednesday. Also we were used to a sight where the bar was also open at lunchtime.
