The location for cycling was great. A short ride to the pretty town and the canals. Lovely scenic rides along the town paths and 25 minutes to the large Super U shop. The on site restaurant and bar were very nice. The pitches were adequately sized and level. The pool area was spotless and the pool was a reasonable size.

The shower floors could've done with a good scrub!

A case of being a victim of your own success. The pitch we had was overused and not fit for use. In 50 years of camping we have never experienced so much mud. Very very unpleasant. We have stayed on your site several times over many years but sadly we will not be returning.

What a great campsite. From the reception on arrival to the staff around the campsite it’s so well run. It has quite or busy area’s what ever suits.It has everything great pitches to suit all sizes, entertainment if you want it, fantastic pool & jacuzzi and a fab restaurant eat in or takeaway. All amenities clean & tidy well until some inconsiderate campers leave them a mess. Coulon is a lovely very French town English are very welcome but I’d advise you speck quite good French I wish England had such lovely values.

We arrived, as booked with Madisonne. We were initially given a a very shaded pitch that was quite dark, but on request a change was made and we were given a much brighter one. The pitches are huuuge, and I mean really really big !! Our large pitch would have taken 3 motorhomes !! All pictures are fully serviced and the water pressure is good. Over all a lovely site with friendly staff, we hope to visit again.

More waste bins would be good. Being told that pitches were taken when they weren't. Last but not least, the girl in the bar needs to learn that the most important thing in hospitality is to smile.

Staff were very helpful. The pitch was good with electricity and water and shade. Restaurant, bar and entertainment also very good.The area is very pleasant. We took a kayak out one day with a picnic package which was excellent. We thought the whole experience was competitively priced.

only complaint is that the internet is terrible. Even though WiFi has been improved for most of the site the internet is very poor quality & even when you get access it drops very quickly. Also good do with better noise control very late at night

The site was excellent, this is our second time at this site. The facilities were very good, we will visit the site again in the future. The pitches were a good size and the improvement on the pool area was very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. And very helpful when my husband was taken ill, the help and support they gave us was first class. Being able to order bread, croissants and other bits was perfect.

There is nothing that needs to be improved it was just perfect.

Good size pitches, some nice bike routes near by, the reception staff were very nice and it was very easy to book in, and find out pitch. Nice staff in general, but I feel the staff at the bar, although polite didn't seem overly happy!

We ordered food on our first night and we're very disappointed, the chips were cooked within an inch of their life! The pizza was good as was the fish pieces.

I have rated only average because the showers were not very good. In one shower I used the water came down no more than 6 inches from the wall. I could get part of my font wet, or part of my back only by standing very close to the wall. Not good.

The campsite offered a peaceful and relaxing location in an amazing setting what more would you want. The staff were friendly and helpful which added to a great experience. Local shops and places to eat was a really helpful addition. All in all everything we could have hoped for.

We have a 9m vehicle and a 7m car trailer and when we arrived the pitch first allocated to us would have proved difficult for us to access. A 4m high vehicle and tree branches doesn’t usually end well. The staff went over and beyond to find us a more suitable pitch and the site was very full. They were very helpful and understanding. The site itself is wonderful, it is in a lovely location, a beautiful river, cycle routes and little French towns worth exploring. Amenities on the site are great, restaurant/bar very reasonable, toilets and showers were kept very clean.

We stayed overnight at this wonderful campsite on the way to the Channel ferry port. We loved the large pitches and the neat and tidy appearance of the whole campsite. Lovely restaurant and bar and the toilet facilities were brilliant. All in all this site is thorough recommended. Situated in beautiful part of France and would be well worth a much longer stay..

Pitches seemed small compared to many campsites that we have stayed at. At the time of our visit the campsite was very crowded.

A well run site in a beautiful location on the edge of a river - but that doesn’t do it full justice! The site itself is well set out among trees with decent size largely level grass pitches. The sanitary facilities are a little basic but clean with a good flow of hot water in the showers. There is a lovely restaurant on the site which we ate at both nights of our stay. The real magic is the location with stunning riverside walks and cycle rides for kilometres as well as boat rides and lovely bars, cafes and restaurants in the local town.

Cleaner bathrooms with better working flushes. Hand driers. Filling of holes in shower cubicle partitions. Certain individuals (Lea) hospitality and manners could be improved. Cold swimming pool with too few sun beds. Kids pool could do with some equipment to make it more fun for the little ones. Kids in the jacuzzi when they shouldn’t be. Disappointed some of the entertainment didn’t cater for foreign languages.

On Wednesday evenings there is a food truck as restaurant is closed.. Problem is they only serve burger & chips not very good if you are vegetarian like the wife not too hard to offer just one option

I came to stay and camp at La Venise verte as it's close to our French twin town as I live in the district Wellingborough. I had a wonderful stay as there are great facilities and generous pitches. I particularly liked the les moules evening, it's within an easy walking distance to Coulon and relatively quiet lanes to cycle around. I had a day in La Rochelle, which is an hour and half away so there's plenty to do and see within easy reach.

Ensure there is always cognac in the bar please!!
