It was great to find a site in mid September where the swimming pool and restaurant are open. Facilities were excellent and clean. We visited the Memorial Museum and Fort Douaumont and would have liked more time to explore some of the other sites locally.

Decent sized grass pitch but had heavy rain the night before departure and would have bogged down if we hadn't put the van front wheels on mats.

We were in a campervan and the pitch was a good size, near a little lake. We came at the end of September after lots of rain, so some of the pitches were becoming a bit muddy, although this obviously can’t be helped at the end of the season. We were given the option to choose another pitch if we not satisfied (ours was fine).

Friendly welcome and great facilities. Out of season so the pool was closed but we expected that. Bread delivered to site shop each morning. Restaurant and bar on site too - handy after a day out. Lucky to get a lakeside pitch. Very quiet at night.

Lakeside pitch was a bonus and all facilities were close by. Pitches nicely spaced. Even after some torrential overnight rain the ground stayed relatively solid.

The facilities were very clean, modern and the staff very helpful. Multiple bins points and service points. The location is perfect as it only took us 20 minutes to walk into the centre of the town.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so the pitch was a little muddy but that wasn’t the fault of the owners but a warning if weather is poor.

This was such a great site to begin our holiday, and the reception staff could not have been more welcoming. A great base to cycle and walk around Verdun, and a lovely place to sit, relax and eat at the end of the day.

Good location for exploring Verdun. Facilities were plentiful and clean. The pool looks great but we didn't have time to use it, next time as we will be back. Fresh bread/croissants for breakfast which were amazing! We had a lovely 1 night stay. Thank you

Unfortunately this campsite does need to be updated as some areas of the site are old and tired. But the worst of it all was on our first night our reclining chairs were stolen outside of our van, our neighbours also suffered the same fate. We went to see the management to report this and they were not interested!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

It was a nice camping. Short walk to centrum, 15 min. Shower is not good. You have 3 sec each time you push the button. And if you are lucky you get warm water. But for a short stay it is recommended. We stayed 2 nights.
Fix better shower. And maybe fix some levels by the small lake.

Good location to walk into Verdun and explore sites linked to WW1. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good to be able to order bread and croissants at the site shop.
The site is quite large and another toilet/ shower block at the bottom part of the site would be an improvement.

Booked for 4 nights but booked an extra night before travelling on to Paris. Good size pitch, spotless facilities and great pool. Great location with a short walk to the town with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes, and the citadel tunnels. We will definitely use this site again.

What a great site, easy walk into the town. Facilities are very good, decent showers, the pool was great for cooling down and a swim. Had some really nice food in the restaurant too. Bread and croissants to order and a fair little shop for essentials.

The pitches are huge with privacy hedges. There is sun and also shade from the trees. The swimming pool is lovely and stays open until 10 pm.
Allow the showers to be regulated instead of the constant too hot temperature. Umbrellas need to be added around the pool to provide some shade. The water at the washing up areas was too cool to allow for effective washing up.

Nicely laid out site with lots of hedging and trees between pitches. Friendly staff. Good restaurant. Swimming pool looked good, but we didn't have time to try it out. Toilet blocks perfectly adequate but a bit out-dated.
It was a shame that the gates are locked overnight until 7.30am as we needed to leave well before this to continue our travels. This meant that although we could use all the facilities we had to park our campervan outside on the carpark overnight.

Provided all we needed for a one night stop on way home. Showers and toilets very clean. Good size plot with some shade which was important with the high temperatures.6
Seemed to be a blockage in the drain for greywater so couldn't unload.

We really enjoyed our short stay on this site and would definitely come again. Large pitches, well separated by trees and hedges for privacy and some welcome shade. We didn’t use the restaurant but it seemed well patronised. The swimming pool was a glorious bonus in super- hot weather. Good location on the edge of Verdun but within walking distance of the centre. Useful walking track for the dog just outside the site. Also a good vet in Verdun for use before returning to the UK.

The swimming pool is great for kids. One small pool for babies/toddlers, a separate swimming pool, and two water slides landing in yet another pool. All facilities were very clean at all times of the day. The pitches are spacious with a small hedge separating each pitch.
There’s no hand soap at the wash basins in the toilet block.

It was a heatwave when we were there. The pitches are not in the shade so our campervan was boiling hot! But then again, it is in the north so not really an issue!

Location to all things war history. Pool was a great relief to the heat and added fun for my three kids. Camping spots are spacious, clean and well maintained. Friendly hosts. Dog friends and easy.
Showers were difficult to get warm. And difficult for a family with three littles to navigate. It didn't take away from our experience..

Nice welcome from the English speaking staff. The position is perfect as there was no noise from the road. The site is well maintained with every facility needed. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good at a good price.

I liked the friendly reception, the pitch with both electricity 🔌 and water💦. I loved the spotlessly clean loos 🚽 + toilet paper🧻and 🫧 🧼. The hot water in the superb shower 🚿 was brilliant too.
6 amp electricity is quite limiting, especially as there is no hair dryer in the facilities. The site is having building works to make further improvements and I'm certain its plantings will thrive. Lovely rural setting as claimed in the ACSI book. We didn't use the restaurant but it seemed very busy the night (Friday) that we were there. Thank you Team Camping Sudeifel!

Very friendly staff, the site was very nicely laid out. The pitches for the camper vans were level and of a good size.
Maybe another toilet/shower block at the far end of the site, as I think the current facilities will struggle to cope when the site is full.

For us 3 (2 adults and 9-years old child) it was very comfortable. We liked the Terrasse and beds were cosy. There were everything that we needed for cooking. We would like to come again.

An oasis of calm outside of school holidays, very pleasant location with level camping pitches. Very good facilities including a good shop and boulangerie orders taken. Easy walk into Verdun.
Maybe allow the lights to stay on long enough to enable a shower to be taken? Fine in daylight, but later at night there's no way to keep the motion sensor awake from inside the shower.

I have stayed at this campsite many times over the years and always return. It’s very comfortable campsite with a perfect balance of shade and sun. I enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and have always been impressed by the professional, courteous and helpful staff. No problem is too big. The bar, shop and restaurant are well located next to reception. The showers and washrooms are cleaned every day. The swimming pool is clean, safe and ideal for adults and children. I would highly recommend this campsite

We really liked the swimming pool, the toilets and showers, and the lake with the entertaining ducks.
The pool and bar area was still quite noisy at 10:30pm.

Friendly staff, very welcoming. I liked our pitch but the ones by the lakeside looked gorgeous! There is a small café and bar on site which served decent food on the days I couldn't be bothered cooking!
Not enough toilets for the size of the camp, one set was unisex, the other females only - apparently they were not as modern as the former. On the other hand they were cleaned very regularly.

The pitches are a very generous size which is great. The site is very well organised from booking in and ordering bread etc.
The facilities do need a revamp. Basic things like soap in the toilets. The water area needs replacing. Broken and collapsed washing up sinks down the far end of site is dangerous for children playing.

Always a warm welcome. A charming campsite with good facilities including a welcoming cafe restaurant bar and swimming pool that is right up to date. Yet the campsite which has been based camp for many years retains it's character.

Provision of Urinals and Male designated toilet cubicles. The area directly in front of the amenities block is uneven and can be difficult to manoeuvre on.

Lovely welcome. Pitches were nicely set albeit it’s was sloped and very damp despite being very hot weather. Pool was brilliant, nice temperature.l & good sun beds. Great for adults. Restaurant looked good and was busy. Would definitely use again.

Close to town but quite secluded. Nice pitch facing the lake with good hard standing and electric hookup. Not surprisingly the pool was shut in early May(drained)

Super nice reception, great rates, sanitary amenities are being fully overhauled and will soon be modern and welcoming.
Nobody seems to invest anything into the city of Verdun, probably because of its horrific history. Town could be lovely, though. Of course, that’s not the fault of the camp site!

Friendly and accommodating staff. The facilities were very clean and the water was always hot. Each pitch was a nice size and was level and had quite a tall hedge either side for privacy

Fantastic location for all there is to see and visit in and around Verdun. We received a warm welcome at reception and were given lots of useful information about local places to visit, along with a map.
We very much enjoyed exploring what the area has to offer including Verdun, the Citadel, the battlefields, the Ossuaire and Fort Douaumont. These were all very interesting. Would definitely like to return to explore further.

The pitch was a good size, hedged for privacy and with a view of the water.
As it was the beginning of the season most of the facilities were closed, including the main toilet block which I believe was being renovated. Also there was no hot water at the washing up sinks.
