The site retains all the qualities I associate with great campsites in France in the past. It is informal but run with incredible attention to detail. The staff are friendly but also completely professional. Not least, it has an outstanding restaurant. The location, next to the beautiful village of La Romieu, and in the glorious Gers countryside is delightful and the area is not overwhelmed by tourism.

The pool is extensive but hardly any of it is deep enough for swimming.

A really pleasant site with good sized pitches, really friendly staff, and a lovely central bar restaurant area.

The pool is popular and great to cool off, but most of it is very shallow so doesn’t really allow swimming. An additional deeper pool for swimming would be great.

Sadly on the sucking pig night our waitress forgot us and we waited well over an hour before being served. My son had to go back to the caravan to have something to eat while he waited for his meal. Not a hit for us!!

Smaller campground which allowed the kids to get around easily. Many kids in their own age group, so easy to form connections. Facilities were maintained in a proper state and service was excellent.

After almost 25 years Le Camp de Florence is still our favourite holiday destination. Always a warm welcome, friendly helpful staff, great food in the restaurant, beautiful surroundings. This is our go to place to recharge our batteries in the beautiful rolling Gascony countryside. See you next year!

Difficult to improve on the perfect holiday!

The welcome at reception when we arrived was fantastic. Such a good start to our stay. The campsite is spacious and extremely clean and we maintained. The waiters and waitresses were lovely and friendly at dinner. I cannot fault Camp de la Florence. I hope we get to return again soon. Even later in our stay when I asked reception for some help with finding a garage for the aircon in my car, Natalie went out of her way to phone several places locally. Thank you.

We stayed when there was a heatwave and we were so glad of the pool. Such a lovely pool. The pitches were of a good size, some with kitchenette which were great and some with bathroom and kitchen. We had a big unit so good to have a good size pitch. Great padel tennis court, too hot for us to play which was disappointing. Entertainment was excellent, we had a group consisting of a guitarist and a violinist, they were excellent. Food very good, lots of choice for drinks. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Lots of hot water and good laundry facilities.

Public showers need a little update (the pitches with their own showers were huge and fabulous) and I know they are the same everywhere but maybe make the public showers with a little more room inside them. The outside gym equipment needs a bit of attention.

Booked for one night but stayed for two . Pitches are a good size with hard standing. All staff are friendly and helpful . Very nice restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back

Our stay at Camping Florence was fabulous. The facilities are excellent, the staff are all so very friendly. It is peaceful and on the edge of a gorgeous ‘plus beau village’

Fantastic site booked for 2 nights stayed for 5.. Thanks too all the staff you were all amazing in the bar and the restaurant. The food is really good,if you are there Wednesday book the restaurant for the moules meal it gets packed locals aswell as fellow campers. Toilet's were always spotless clean plenty of hot water and loo roll

As always the team at Le Camp de Florence were friendly, patient and extremely helpful. The facilities are great and the restaurant is lovely, we will definitely be back again.

This site is an absolute treasure. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful but with plenty going on if you want it. The layout of the site means that all pitches seem very private. The site is very natural with lots of trees, bushes etc, not landscaped.. Bar and restaurant are fantastic and reasonable and in a bea. Pool area is well kept and perfect for a cool off. Little animal pen was fun and animals seem well looked There are loads of things for kids to do. The little town is absolutely beautiful, full of history and every view a photo opportunity. Everything reasonably priced on site and town.

Small shop with essentials on site as town shop is very limited. Some clarity around toilet and shower closures for cleaning as these were often closed at around 8.30 -9 .00 on a night . Sometimes the nighttime entertainment goes on until very late and the sound travels.

It’s been 9 years since we were last here and the place is every bit as good if not better than that visit. The whole team are excellent with such friendly service throughout. The restaurant is just too good to not eat at! We did many times! The pool area is delightful and the whole site is spotlessly clean and tidy. We had a very nice pitch that was well located.

Loved the staff so friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was good. Everything you need. Clean toilets etc. Great little walk into the village. Definitely recommend it. Food was good in the restaurant and staff spoke English

Only thing I would say is soap dispenser in toilets. Remembering to take soap each time was a pain. Otherwise nothing

pre ordered baguettes should be able to be collected simply without waiting for other bar traffic etc.. Had to buy own mugs/cups as ones in lodge too small. English like their tea! Mosquito screen on bedroom (& bathroom) windows, to allow ventilation in Bedroom (too wasteful leaving Aircon on.)

We very much enjoyed our stay. The site has a very nice atmosphere, set in a quiet and beautiful location. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant and pool are also very good.

The site is gorgeous in a very pretty and peaceful area. Close to the pretty village and abbey, 5 min walk. Highly recommend the restaurant food was delicious but book early as the locals love it!!!

Only the soggy pitches, but there had been so much rain there was nothing the campsite could do.
