This was our first stay in one of the cottages while we prepare for our caravan winter storage also at Le Picard. The weather was fairly typical for late October; it rained at night and sunshine during the day. We felt very relaxed enjoying the pretty views from all the windows. As always, we enjoyed the self catering aspect of our stay eating and drinking the local Normandie produce.

The cottage was very comfortable and we slept very well. It was immaculately clean on arrival and well resourced with everything we would require for a longer stay too. As the evenings were drawing in earlier after the clocks changed we were grateful to find the main english channels on the TV. The cottage was cosy and warm with efficient heating which we could easily control. The shower was strong and efficient. We would book again.
None. We found it good value for money and suited our needs and enjoyment.

The site is quiet, clean, well run, and perfectly located to discover all that Normandy has to offer. Delphine and Laurent are great hosts, were very informative and both speak excellent English - which to our shame, was most welcome. It was our first caravaning holiday in France and this is the best place for a first trip abroad, location perfect, facilities clean and tidy and the couple that run/own the site are fantastic , the food in the restaurant out of this world

We stayed for 3 nights lovely site, very peaceful. Owls hooting, sheep in the field behind us, peacock wandering around great natural site. We stayed in September. Swimming pool available, I did not have the right swim ware only proper trunks are allowed, not swim shorts. Bread daily if you order in advance from reception limited choices but fabulous service, saved us getting up early to find a baker.
We left quite early on our day of departure, it would have been good to have a light in the loo disposal point & by the rubbish area.

But maybe... just maybe… the lack of lighting is our secret trick to keep things quiet and avoid clattering bins and toilet cassettes in the early hours 😄 That said, we’ll definitely think about it. Love this small family run pretty campsite. Our pitch looked out to the countryside giving us a peaceful relaxing 10 days camping. A short drive gives us all we need in Le Molay- Littry which has all the main facilities we need including pharmacie, supermarket, bank, boulangeries and boucherie plus a locals market on Thursdays. It’s not far to the coast with some of our favourite places to visit. There are many places still to visit so we will look forward to many future stays.

Peaceful rural location with a nice pool and excellent facilities. Not far from Bayeux and Arromanches which are both well worth day trips. The site’s bathroom area was exceptionally clean. Run by a friendly couple.Our favourite site of this trip.

A very nice camping for children of different ages. De toilets are very clean, de showers fantastic. You can eat a simple meal at the snackbar and the supermarket is only 5 minutes by car. You can go fishing on the campsite and play ping pong. Nearby the camping are nice villages en beaches to visit. You can find beautiful seashells!! In Isigny-Sur-Mer (20 min by car) there is a wonderful fishingshop.
Nothing important but if I try really hard, it would be a grass/soccerfield to play football, throw a ball or a frisbee.

We hebben vanuit deze camping als basis heel veel kunnen zien en doen in de omgeving. Leuke dorpjes en natuurlijk de bijzondere plaatsen in kader van d-day en de bevrijding van Normandië. Hele gemoedelijke en gastvrije sfeer, zoals het hoort op een camping. Wij hadden mooie rustige plek aan de rand met uitzicht op weiland met koeien, heerlijk ontspannen. Leuk verkoelend zwembad en goede schone faciliteiten.

Friendly & helpful campsite owners who work tirelessly to keep the site clean. Lovely greeting from Dauphine who took time to ‘walk us’ around the site so we knew where to find things. Fabulous pool and restaurant with home cooked food (Laurent) & drinks at a very reasonable price. New shower/toilet block - immaculately clean. Pitch had electricity and drinking water on the pitch. Quiet site - no rules (? ) but the idyllic setting lent itself to such. Great location for DDay memorials and Dauphine will recommend other things too. Love, love loved it!! Best 3* site we’ve stayed on in France.

A lovely and relaxing campsite. We stayed in one of the cabins, which was clean and peaceful. The site is conveniently located close to many attractions. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Fly nets for the food, as well as on the doors and windows, would help keep most of them out.

What a great campsite, exceptionally clean and well looked after, new toilet block with showes excellent. We had a problem with our motorhome and Delphine was on hand to translate for us and Laurent accommodated us with staying extra night. Pool an added bonus, we had a meal at the snack bar which was lovely and there is a order services for fresh bread/croissantsfor the following day. Free wfi too. We will definitely be back.

We have had our caravan in storage from 2019 for and have visited as regularly as possible since then. The site is so peaceful, couldn't ask for better. Loved the warm friendliness of both Laurent and Delphine. Just the right size for us and perfectly placed for visiting attractions.
The site is obviously being updated as and when the owners can. My only criticism was the restaurant was only open on rhe evening of our arrival and fully booked. Very disappointing after being advertised in club brochure. A warning about seasonal openings could be useful for people not aware of local variants.

What a gem of a site this is . From the moment you arrive you are made to feel really welcome. The pitches are flat and a fairly good size . The toilet and shower block had been upgraded this year . Spotlessly clean as always . Fresh bread is delivered every morning. There is a small swimming pool that is heated, and if you happen to be staying over the weekend then do try the restaurant. Its very good . We will return .

At the campingsite and area there are realy much pigeons and other birds. During our stay they shit our car and caravan completely. So, dont put your car on a place without trees.

Lovely quiet site where fellow campers respect the tranquility. Exceptionally clean and tidy. It's only 30 minutes on quiet roads to reach all the beaches, Bayeux and other attractions, a small price to pay for the tranquility. A small town Molay de Littry has good grocery shops and you can order fresh bakery items each day to be collected from the camp site office.
A gazebo for the garden would provide a shelter from rain and sunshine.

Great improvement with the new enclosed facilities block this year that was very welcome due to the chilly weather. For camping there are a good selection of level grassy pitches, each with it's own (free) water and electricity, though predominantly the site was occupied by touring caravans or motor homes. The pool was warm, clean and safely zoned off. A garden area for relaxing with chairs and a BBQ. Another more shaded relaxation area near a pond towards the front of the site.
If Delphine could manage the weather like she manages the site it would be amazing :-)

We loved our sunny pitch (34), fully serviced pitch. All visitors are shown around the site, so all facilities are explained. Nice big pitch. The showers are always spotless, Delphine never seems to stop working, always cleaning. Freezer for everyone to use which was very helpful to make ice. We had to leave a week earlier than planned due to a family emergency, Delphine and Laurent were very kind and understanding while we we very stressed.

The site continues to be maintained to a very high standard. We love the tranquility of Le Picard as well as it being close to local amenities and to a variety of places of interest.The well kept grounds are beginning to show the signs of Spring. We enjoyed the new shower/toilet block which is new this year adding to our comfort. Friends came for a few days to stay in one of the cottages and commented how excellent they found the new shower facilities and loved the swim in the pool (even though it was in the season the pool was warm and ready). They also found the cottage value for money.
Nothing to comment on. Delphine & Laurent are continuously making improvements. Each year we return there has been a lot of work been done over the winter.

This campsite is perfect tranquility, you cannot help but absorb the peaceful nature of this site and let it enfold you. You just instinctively slow down and kick back, a perfect antidote to our busy lives. This site is rustic in nature but the facilities are spotlessly clean, the showers powerful with ample hot water ( and no push buttons to keep pressing for the water to flow). The pool was spotless and a lovely 27 degrees. The bar and restaurant are lovely with good food on offer. The owners/managers are busy all day long which explains why the site is so clean and tidy.

The pitches are a good size and level. Each pitch has a tap for fresh water. No electricity hook-up used. Did I mention how peaceful it was?

Lovely family run site. Nothing is too much. When we arrived we were taken to our pitch and provided with all the information needed, a real personal touch. Shower and toilet block were clean and tidy. Nice level pitches with Sunny or Shaded pitches. The garden area was ideal and well kept.
Maybe have bread available at 08:30 instead of 09:00.

Power and water supplied also the site provided any adapters for water and electricity if needed! As I have already said nice level pitches. Plenty of room on the pitch for Van, Car, Canopy and bikes.

How second time at Le Picard A beautiful site ,with great facilities English speaking host,Delphine looks after you , information readily available and if not you only have to ask .only 50 minutes away from the British war memorial at Normandy beaches and 28 minutes to the town of Bayeux and the Bayeux tapestry and 49 minutes to the port of Quistreham ,so ideally located for ferries ,and for any fisherman a lake with carp. We stayed here to be close to Normandy beaches and WW2 memorials. What a lovely find, a small campsite with the friendliest owners we have met anywhere. They run the site by themselves. So quiet and lots of birds to listen to. Had a nice heated pool although we didn’t get a chance to try it. Bar /restaurant is great food was really nice and very relaxed atmosphere. We stayed during the England semi final and watched it in the small bar with a few other guests and the owners , great friendly atmosphere.

Pitches are fair size we had a campervan and awning which fitted with a bit of jiggling but was fine, just parked ourselves close to the hedge. We had a small hole in ground just as we stepped out of van which the owner filled in immediately at our request. Such a chilled place to stay we loved it. Facilities good loads of hot water and nice showers. Washing up area, showers and toilets kept spotless.

This is our second time staying. It is a lovely small family site. It is clean and well kept site. The couple work so hard to make sure everyone has a lovely holiday. It has a small restaurant, pool, laundry facilities. There is a supermarket 10 mins drive away and not far to Bayeux

Tucked away from main road with easy access with a warm welcome from owner and walk around site explaining where everything is and pitch. Information from owners about the area is vast you can order fresh bakery for next day. Owners are constantly cleaning toilets showers and washing up areas. Swimming pool is 10 meters long very clean, it also as a cafe on site but was only open weekends but we were early in season. We are surprised that you found the pitch not large enough because you had one of the biggest one 116m² (normally there are between 80/100m²) so it let you the possibility to put your caravan not nearby your neighbours. You should have told us about the rats problem by the bean area when you are on site so that we could quickly find a solution. This problem stems from the fact that the bins are only collected every 15 days in low season, so this is a new problem that we're going to have to solve and the composter also attracts them. I liked the owners who spent time showing around the site, all toilets shower, washing facilities really good especially the hot water in the shower. Very peaceful.

We understand your frustration even if we inform on the website than we are located in the countryside. You also received on your confirmation a link on our welcome guide informing about the nearest services as supermarket at 5 kms. We offer a bakery service (that you have not used) and a snack-bar as well as a troubleshooting grocery with local products. There is also a butcher in the village at 1 km walk. So a possibility to find food if you can't move but it wasn't your case. Our pitches are all bounded by hedges and so is your pitch maybe one or 2 bushes more will be better. You also come during a very busy period (we were full for the Dday celebrations) so it is difficult to have privacy. We'd like to please everyone but it's not always possible Best regards. We have stayed at Le Picard a few times now . We are always made to feel welcome by Delphine and Laurent. The food in the restaurant is excellent, all freshly cooked by Laurent. Overall a wonderful stay.
The only thing I can say is the toilet and shower block could do with a little updating. But that is a very small point ,and no way reflects on our wonderful stay.

The site is beautiful, tranquil and is very well situated to see the historic sites of the area. We visited with my sister and her husband who know the area well. We emigrated to Canada and have always wanted to explore the D Day landing beaches. We weren’t disappointed. The site and surroundings were better than we anticipated. Now we know why our relatives have been visiting for many years.
The Snack Bar is a misnomer, it would be more accurately described as a Bistro, and should be renamed. The food was excellent.

Excellent location for visiting WWII cemeteries and museums. Some amenities were not available due to time of year but we knew before we visited. Reception (especially Delphine) were very helpful and the bathrooms were spotless.

No problems booking online as our last stop prior to catching a ferry from Cherbourg. A relatively small campsite, family owned and operated. A warm welcome on arrival, brief explanation re. facility locations etc. Pitch well defined by hedgerows with ample space for awnings etc. Good to see the heated swimming pool open despite it being later in the season.
Non-Availability of croissants/baguettes disappointing - apparently due to demand dropping off as the autumn season approaches.

A very peaceful pretty site in the Normandy countryside. Delphine and Laurent work tirelessly to maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the environment. We are regular visitors and store our caravan at Le Picard. I noticed how new visitors to the site are welcomed individually by Delphine or Laurent showing them to their pitch or cottage as well as a tour of all the facilities including the garden they have created which visitors are welcome to pick the fruits. We were fortunate to enjoy one of their special Friday night fish and chip evenings deliciously cooked by Laurent on our last night.

We store our caravan at Le Picard and book our pitch using the sites booking system. We request the same pitch each time and with notice Laurent has put our caravan on our favourite pitch in good time for our arrival. We enjoy looking out to the fields and at certain times of the year we see sheep or cows and the swallows and swifts swooping to catch the insects. This year we even briefly spotted 3 deer racing along the hedgerow before running into the countryside.

Very nice quiet site in a good location with lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Staff were very helpful and the site is very well run and looked after. Excellent heated pool and a nice restaurant.

Our pitch had water and electricity and was level and not too far from all facilities on the site. We had a mixture of shade and sun and the pitch was divided from others by hedges.
Pitch was a little too small to fit caravan, awning and car, but there was space nearby to park the car.

The site has friendly staff and good facilities. Whilst the abultions may be a little rustic, they are excellently supplied with copious quantities of hot water and are serviced frequently. I would consider the pitches ample, but not generous and are individually supplied with electricity & water. The main downside is the adjacent field where caravans are stored - a few trees to block them from view wouldn't go amiss. Also, donotuse Google maps when travelling to this site with your caravan, as you will be routed through single track roads. The best access is via the D15.

A well run site by an energetic and approachable couple. The toilet shower facilities are adequate but in our opinion could do with upgrading. Some of the toilets in the long row did not have sheets. Pitch no 6 facing the agricultural field had not been mowed and there were many twigs , which we cleaned A lovely site in a beautiful area We really enjoyed our stay and felt most welcome The couple worked all day and were approachable. We would have liked to have access to tea/ coffee cakes etc. but understand staff shortages Overall a lovely 3 star site in a good location

As for the twigs, this is normal as there is a tree just above the pitch. As for the toilets, we recognise that those at the entrance need renovating, but you forgot to mention that those on the other side of the pool are new. As for the toilet paper, we supply it regularly and you have to give us time to put it back, especially in the early hours of the morning. On our website it is clearly stated that in low season the snack bar is only open on reservation and in the evening. You can't have the same services as in high season! Best regards. the most awful experience ever veterans basically not welcome at this place we had 8 disabled veterans on a battlefield tour so thought this looked a lovely place how wrong can one be one of the blind veterans was in the toilet the day after we arrived and heard a staff member asking another person camping what was that lot like last night the lady replied very quite and in bed early & up and out early in the morning the restraint wasn't opened apart from one day but nobody told us it was opened we all went to bed early before 9pm as we felt like we was walking on eggshells

Dear Sirs, Thank you for your stay. We are always pleased to welcome veterans and respect them but Veterans and tourists have to respect the rules of the campsite as normal guests. No swimming-shorts, no food/no drinks at the swimming-pool but we had to remind you in despite of the information given. Our reception is closed at 7 pm but one of your members rang at the door to borrow an ironing table and an iron at 8 pm even though you'd been back at the campsite for over an hour. After the closing time we only answer to emergency and I don’t think that ironing was one. But we gave you what you wanted. Maybe you forgot that we also have a private life and request that people respected it. Concerning what one of your members heard the day after your first night I am going to clarify it. First it wasn’t one person of the staff but me Delphine the owner. The reason was that the couple nearby your group came at the reception to claim about the noise of your group and informed us that they wanted to leave earlier and to be refunded for the 3 nights not used. I told to this couple that if the noise before 11 pm is acceptable. So I asked somebody else (when I was cleaning the toilets) if she heard noise and she told me “NO” so I didn’t come to see you asking to be more quiet because there was no reason. What you're really doing is accusing me of being informed before falsely accusing you of noise, when in fact you're doing just the opposite with your comment. In conclusion if it was the worst experience that you had I didn’t understand why you stayed 6 nights with “rude staff”. You could come to the reception, explained your feelings but you stayed till the end (I could imagine how it was horrible for you !). Best regards. Delphine & Laurent

To be clear it is not true that you have to pay for 6 nights but YOU MADE A RESERVATION THE 16/4/2023 FOR 6 NIGHTS that we confirmed and informed that the balance has to be paid on arrival. It is also written on Our General terms that you accepted in case of cancellation or early departure the stay is no refundable and the total amount is due. So as you reserved for 6 nights it was normal that you have to pay the 6 nights reserved. If you wanted 3 nights you are in the case of cancellation or early departure. Moreover why you didn't inform before your arrival that you wanted to change your dates? It was also possible to change the pitch to have one more nearby a water tap if you didn't want to walk 30 secondes. As Always made to feel at Home by Hardworking Hosts Delphine & Laurent, The Campsite is small but well maintained in beautiful Normandy farmland, Pitches are level and well defined, Site is surrounded by nature. Clean and adequate facilities. Site has swimming pool and bar/restaurant. Basic items available from reception along with daily bread to order, Supermarket and all services within 5km. Great base for exploring Historical Normandy and further afield.

Our stay was very family friendly, beautiful area, quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately the water in the mobilhome was not warm enough to take a shower in so we had to use the outdoor camping facilities. The owners will look I to the water issue after we had left.

Very clean, great floorplam for family to move around
The water was not getting hot enough to shower in the mobile home so we had to use the outdoor camping facilities and pre cook hot water for washing dishes like to get the oil out of pans

Dear Madam, Thank you for your very nice comment. We are sorry for the problem of hot water in the cottage. My husband came to fix it and the day after I asked you if it was ok as the maintenance service should come on site on Tuesday and you told me that it wasn't necessary. So I supposed that there was no more problem. Since your stay other guests used the same cottage and we didn't receive any comment about the hot water. Surprising? We hope that you enjoyed Paris too.
