The relaxed atmosphere combined with the stunning views and natural surroundings and the super friendly owners make this one of the best campings we stayed at.
The swimming pool is a little small but the river is there as well as a nice little swimming pond.

I stayed there for a few days of motorcycle touring in the Alps and enjoyed it very much. It is quiet, there is a bar and restaurant and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Also a big thank you for the friendly Belgian cleaning lady keep the "sanitaire" spotlessly clean.

Prima plek met mooi uitzicht. Camping is natuurlijk ingericht. Mooi gelegen aan rivier en tussen de bergen. Mooi terras en natuurlijke pool. Een van de mooiste camping die we ooit bezocht hebben.
Wifi is beneden de huidige maatstaf. Toiletpapier op toiletten is een ontbrekende service.

Claire and David are great hosts, they ensure that their guests have the best holiday The site is set within a natural environment surrounded by mountains and rivers The bar and restaurant offer a good choice and the food was great, with a lovely terrace next to the river to sit and enjoy. The hosts were both very friendly, giving us on-spot tips for routes, very calm and relaxed atmosphere on the whole site, marvellous location. The pitch place was so spacious our tent and motorcycle looked nearly lost in it. The decorations and gardens were thoughtfully attuned to the beautiful landscape and the lounge and bar area directly at the river Ubaye. New and clean facilities, showers and toilets.We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return!

It's a friendly small sized camping with a lot of thing to do around the campsite. Hiking, rafting, canyoning, swimming and lots of other activities to do. Claire and David are wording hard and are always there to help you out when you have questions. The facilities are very clean and the restaurant have good pizza's!

Wonderful small site. Very friendly and welcoming owners, Clare and David who gave great advice on the beautiful local area and all its outdoor activities. Site is lovely and informal, perfect for tents and small vans with plenty of space and natural pitches. Great aspect for sun all day but plenty of trees for shade. The bar area is perfect for relaxing after an active day. good variety of seating outside by the river (a white water rafting river) and on a covered deck . Nice inside too. A tiny natural lake is perfect for a dip. Lovely food served on some days. We will be back.

If you are only passing, Camping River is perfectly located for a short stay or night stop for anybody travelling on the GR56 by foot, completing a tour of the alpes or discovering the famous cols by bike or maybe travelling the Route de Napoleon by motorbike or car. We have a few smaller pitches perfect for a small tent with your bike or motorbike. Once unloaded, cars will need to be parked on the private carpark at the entrance to the campsite. All these pitches are bordered by beech and pine trees. Water points and electricity boxes serve every pitch. The sanitary facilities are no further than 150m and offer toilets, hot showers, a washing up area, baby changing facilities and disabled access, washing machine and electric points. A fridge (located in a fixed position on the campsite) can be hired subject to availability.
