The site is very professionally run but retains a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The restaurant appeared to struggle with the volume of diners.

Unfortunately Jeanne is easily pounced on by insects and she has to take anti-histamine for the red sores. We decided to eat inside but we had a lot of flies around us and Jeanne was really getting flustered. This was on the Saturday 17 June.

Beautifully well kept site. Nice simple swimming pool that had plenty of space. Nice bar and restaurant areas. Very helpful reception. Good recycling facilities.

Sun loungers at the pool could be more comfortable.

We are keen cyclists, swimmers and lovers of nature and this location suits us 100%.

For what you get for the money it's really worth 5 stars: old castle, beautiful nature around it, wine tastings 3 times a week, clean nice swimming pool, playground for kids, pounds for fishing, river in a walkable distance, spotless common toilets, showers and sinks, friendly and helpful staff, rent or bicycles and a few interesting destinations nearby - what else do you need for a great week of vacations?!

Rooms could have been better equipped and doors making less noise, TV could have been more modern and bigger, WiFi not only in the bar area would have improved the situation as well as more diverse KidsClub activities and not only in Dutch, flooring near the pools which does not hurt when you walk on it would be a bummer

Great atmosphere, quiet but plenty of things to do. Pool superb, restaurant excellent, take-away first-rate. Staff top-notch.

No wine tasting; really enjoyed it in June & bought two cases of very good wine.

Wonderful location for country lovers. The amenities are first class and customer service is excellent. We have stayed here several times. Especially enjoyed the swimming pool.

The apartment could have been cleaner. Some of the drawers, cupboards, crockery, saucepans etc weren’t very clean.

We normally camp at L’Eperviere but as we are without a van at the moment we stayed in one of the apartments which was very comfortable.

A better system for the take away, we were sent away for 30 minutes because it was busy which was fair, but on return people who had just turned up were being served! You maybe need some help in the service??

Everything! It’s our favourite campsite in France, we’ve been coming for a few years We always tent, the pitches are huge Each has shade and sun The pool is an added extra Haven’t been to the restaurant but plan to stay longer next year Staff are always friendly You can see why it is a 5*

The on site staff were all really friendly and helpful, from the reception, to the shop, to the restaurant, which really made our stay that much more enjoyable. The facilities were spotless, and the site has everything you could need with an excellent restaurant , lovely pool and large pitches.

Couldn’t think of a thing to fault it.

We enjoyed a night stay at Les Castles Camping, we swam in the pool, wine tasted in the cave and got a delicious takeaway beef bourgeon.

Great campsite - quiet and relaxing. Pitches are well identified, large and private Food is amazing - tried the beef bourginon, pizza, frites and local wine and beer, the bread and croissants ordered were also the best I have had this holiday. Will be back again!

This is the second time we have stayed here and it didn’t disappoint. Has to be our favourite campsite in France. The chateau, the lake, the large pitches, pool, facilities etc were all first class. Thank you.

Think the courtyard would be more appealing with umbrellas .

As always, such a relaxing stay on this really lovely camp site. Plenty of space and the lake is so beautiful. On this occasion we came with grandchildren and they loved it as well. Staff always very friendly and helpful.

Larger swimming pool or adult only hour or the inside pool adult only. Too much 5.50 for a bottle of water in the restaurant. Fans required in the restaurant. Missed the orange bikes for hire spontaneously didn’t use the other hire service as we couldn’t be spontaneous.

Stayed for one night at this beautiful site en route to the the south coast. The site was so lovely; teeming with wildlife, we saw beavers and heron....we wished that we had booked for two nights to appreciate it fully. The deviation to site was not far off our route, it had a much needed pool, the restaurant did fabulous Beef Bourguignon and wine...our stay was the perfect refresh to break up our journey. We will definitely return and have already recommended to our friends.

It's the 4th time we have stayed here, that should tell you all you need to know! Perfectly positioned in the country for onward trips further south, Switzerland etc! We love it and will be back again!

This charming camping venue has a wonderful team of attentive staff, with a great sense of humour. The venue has a lot to offer such as kids club, wine cellar and wine tasting, pools, bar, restaurant & cafe. The onsite restaurant served a range of french and seasonal dishes to suit the dietary requirements of variety of individals. The restaurant prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. The bar served a great range of drinks and ice creams for all adults and children, this was brilliant. The convenient store was amazing to order baked goods such as croissants, flute & baguettes.

Things to improve would include more varied eco friendly activities for kids and other interesting things such (e.g archery, allotment growing activity, fruit picking, mini kids yoga, french cooking demonstrations/ lessons for adults and children (charge), pottery decorating (charge). Wine tasting was lovely in the rustic cellar but, too crowded on a hot day, there should be timed slots for guests max 8 per 15 minute slots. A table should be set with wines in glasses ready to be tasted. Limit the wines that are tasted in the slots otherwise it takes forever.Cycle hire is independent from venue

Our family of 4 had so much to do and also a lot to not do so we could relax. From footy and fishing and the pool for the kids and a bar and shop and restaurant for us all. Close to lots of markets and towns a gem of a place.

Nothing really!! Our pitch was a bit noisy for the tent as it was right next to the road through which he campsite so got woken a bit early.

This campsite is beautiful, the facilities are really good and the staff are super friendly. The ability to reserve your bread for the morning, the takeaway and restaurant option all make camping there really easy

Beautiful campsite with huge pitches. Thankfully many were shaded as it was so hot during our stay. Lovely pool for cooling off. Exceptionally helpful lady at reception who managed to organise a new tyre for our motorhome as we had a puncture on route. She also organised a hire bicycle for our son. A massive thank you to her for all her help. Great area for cycling as very close to the River Saone cycle route. Very pretty. Would definitely return if in that area.

Outside area of restaurant or part of this area could possibly be dog friendly. We would definitely have eaten there if that had been the case.

We worked out that this was at least our 12th visit to our favourite site in France. Sadly it will be our last as we are getting on a bit and want to explore more. In addition Gert Jan is giving up and handing over to quite rightly, enjoy he time. This site has always been worth its 5 stars. The only issue this time was in relation to the lake area. We were sited in an area where there were one or two night stayers next to us which meant being disturbed early morning as they hit the road to get more miles in.

Don't think London Pride will ever be sold in the bar.

Cars leaving very early every morning Depending on what pitch you have, it could be a long walk to the toilets Trees are poorly maintained, we had bad weather, which caused a lot of branches to fall off.

Our third time at this lovely campsite. It’s a perfect stop over on our way to the Alps. Helpful with our late arrival, lovely large pitches, excellent facilities and delicious wine from their vineyard available at the campsite shop.
