It’s been 20 years since we last visited, it was lovely then, somehow it’s even better now!

Liked so much, lovely surroundings with flowers, fantastic reception staff and the riding stables were wonderful.

Have a child only just turned 4 who can ride a bike but not well, would have been nice if there were a flat easy access trail to do a bike ride with him. Attempted yellow circuit but was far too hard. Some broken play area equipment. Overall loved our stay though!

This is our second stay. It’s a great site, very clean, very friendly staff, all the facilities we need and in a nice area of Vendée. We tried the kids clubs and football clubs which the kids enjoyed and allowed us a couple of hours of peace.

Only being able to check in on Saturday’s and Wednesday’s was limiting.

Beautiful site, fantastic accommodation. Reception staff are fantastic and really Helpful. Teenagers loved the Wi-Fi in the accommodation and the layout of the mobile. We really liked the new bracelet system for paying for items. We love the bar near the reception as more characterful than the main bar. The wine and cheese evening is fantastic.

Would like to see more Sun loungers. The new system in place removing towels does help but does seem unfair if you need a drink or food. Think you should be given 30 minutes to allow you to get food or drink during the day without vacating a Sunbed. We love the reception bar but seems a shame that it closes so early (I’m sure it used to be open later).

We loved the cabin. There was loads for the kids to do. Lovely setting and comfortable beds. The shop onsite was fantastic. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the night animals tour.

We didn’t like the restaurant or the take away food.

Nothing compares to the feeling of returning to La Garangeoire, it is definitely our “happy place”.

It's a very relaxed vibe here. Loved the spaciousness better than any other ive seen. So safe for kids easy to mind them.

I wish more information was given at reception about the walking/cycling trails. Found it hard to figure them out. Also some activities were booked days in advance so maybe let guests new to campsite know which activities get booked out quickly so they are in the know to book them in advance

We rented a Taos cabin (Romarins?) and the frame of the double bed was very, very noisy. Even the slightest movement would create enough noise to wake someone up. Needs maintenance or replacement.

I liked the surroundings and the vibe and atmosphere on the site. The site felt safe for kids. Beautiful flowers and trees. Enough space including sun loungers at the pool that you didn’t have to get there early to get one (but not sure what this would be like in high season). The staff were very friendly, always smiling and helpful. Free pedal boats and canoe is very nice. The grounds were clean. The bouncy castles were great. The pitch for soccer tournament is great. Nice central place and easy to do day excursions. Chateau is beautiful to look at.

The take away was poor quality & it was expensive. The lasagne was frozen in the middle. Coffee is terrible The restaurant was ok but over priced and choices were limited. The bouncy castles for the small children could be up more. bike rental is expensive €35 for 3 days!!!! The convenient store shouldn’t close during the day this is very annoying. The lighting around the camp site is very bad after dark. The sensor in ‘Roses’ garden wasn’t working. You needed a torch after you passed the night security cabin as there were few lights making it dangerous.

A wonderful stay in a wonderful setting that ticked all the boxes. The campsite has the perfect mix of activity and also calm and quiet. It has thought of all the little tiny details that make a stay just that little bit more special

Beautiful campsite, plenty to do, clean and well run. We really enjoyed the discovery walk and the wine tasting. Our children enjoyed the activities. The site has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

The staff were very lovely but being the start of season not all were totally confident in the systems (I had a spa booking mix up that was not resolved). We found the service to be slow in the restaurant - but the food was very good.

We have stayed in a number of places for our summer holidays over the years and this is the first time we have ever returned to a site. Love this place. The spacious, green site is so well laid out and maintained. It is really well looked after. Loads for activities for our teenage boys to get involved with. Staff are all super helpful. Enjoyed the guided tour from Anne, very interesting.

We would be interested in a (slightly) bigger pool complex perhaps. Also the staff and service in the restaurant is not on the same level as all the excellent staff elsewhere on site.

The new Safari Village is gnerally beautifully done. However the usability of the deck space is pretty comprimised by the heavy wooden furniture - particularly the 'armchairs'. It would be good to have an outdoor table and three stool at the bar rather than 2. I would re-consider the 'armchairs' completely - they have a very large footprint [ on quite a compact deck ] and are very heavy to move even for an adult male.

We have just had the most amazing 5 days stay here, everything was perfect! The campsite is so lovely and clean, the staff are friendly, the pools are great, and its a great place for kids! Our 3 year old loved it too, it was so lovely waking up to the sound of the birds singing, we will definitely be returning next year.

Perhaps slightly more choices of food at the restaurant, but this is not a deal breaker for us.

We had great pleasure in returning to this site where we used to bring our children in the early 1990's and are now returning with our children and grandchildren. A lot has changed and developed over the intervening years with the driveway now a route for pedestrians and bikes to get to the shop, bars & swimming pools all beautifully planted with flowers and trees. It was just as relaxing as we had remembered.

one area for improvement would be to provide evening entertainment for adults in way of a small band , live music or even background music.. kids will still enjoy A little quiet at evening time - even from 9-11pm not sure there should be a charge for fresh water mini market could be much bigger - was expensive too, one morning there wasnt milk?

We had an amazing break! The site is beautiful and very peaceful. Every member of staff was very friendly and helpful and clearly enjoyed working at La Garangeoire. We have holidayed at a large number of 5* campsites in France over the years this is one of, if not the best we have had the pleasure of staying at.

Loved the atmosphere, the helpful friendly staff and the activities and facilities.

Taos accommodation could be better equipped. No good sharp kitchen knives or large drinking glasses. The bar should have a good selection of wines, not just the basic red, white and rose choices. This is France and we like good French wine selections. Also, the small bar kept closing early, 9.30 or 9.40 pm every evening. You could sell good wines here and stay open to 11.

We had a lovely holiday. Thank you. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our son particularly enjoyed the football camp.

Maybe you could have a water polo session.

We have stayed at this site many times, both worth our own caravan & now in accommodation. Our sons have spent time here as children and now have returned with us as adults. It is very much a family oriented site and one of the best we have visited & we have travelled all over France.
